Barbara Ann Reed

Barbara Ann Reed of Warrenton died Friday, April 6, 2012, at St. Vincent's Hospital in St. Louis. She was 68. Barbara was born June 17, 1943, in St. Louis, to the late Fredrick and Marion Green Saenger. Barbara was married to James Shinkle who precedes her in death and then later married Curtis Reed.
Barbara and Curtis were over the road truck drivers and traveled as a team in over 48 states. They also owned and operated a Western Apparel store, Just Horsin' Around in Owensville.
Surviving Barbara is her husband Curtis of the home, three sons, Michael Shinkle of St. Clair, Jimmy Shinkle of Arnold, Richard Shinkle of Columbia, two daughters Sherry Shinkle of Potosi, and Cindy Pitts of Connecticut, one brother, Fred Saenger of Catawissa, MO, two sisters, Frances Bovey of Belle, and Peggy Larson of Warsaw. There are 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Pat Jones. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
