Candie Ann Malone

Candie Ann Malone, age 61, of Las Vegas, Nv. passed away unexpectedly on July 17, 2023, at North Vista Hospital. Candie was born in St. Louis, Mo. on October 13, 1961, to the late George David Cathey and Mabel Eleanor Beyer. Candie was the youngest of 7 children.

Candie had two daughters, Mary Angela Malone and Brandy Lynn Martinez. Candie resided in Bland, Mo where she married William Daniel Malone. In 1977, Candie moved her daughters to Las Vegas, Nv where she resided until she passed. She fought demons most of her life and had a rough time throughout, but she never stopped fighting. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend. She will be dearly missed very much by all those that loved her.

 Surviving is her two daughters, Mary Malone of Hammond, In and Brandy (George) Martinez of Elko, Nv, ex-husband, William Daniel Malone, six grandkids, Artemio Puerta Jr. of Hawaii, Jakob Aragon of Las Vegas, Serena Malone of Boise, Id, George and Jesse Martinez of Elko, Nv, and Javiana Robertson of Omaha, Nebraska. Two brothers, Lawernce and Joe Cathey of Arkansas and Barbara Campbell of Las Vegas, Nv, and countless nieces and nephews.

Candie was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mabel Cathey and stepfather, Randal Smith of Missouri, and three brothers, Charles, Kenneth, and George Cathey. Candies final resting spot will be Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo on October 13, 2023 at 1:00 p.m., where we will perform the transfer of ashes ceremony. Anyone wanting to join in the services are welcome to do so.
