Charles Edward Creswell, age 59, son, brother, uncle, husband, and father went to be with Jesus on September 21, 2023.
Charles was born in San Jose, California to Richard Creswell and Diane Moore. Charles attended Kelseyville Continuation High School in Kelseyville, Ca. He also attended college in Santa Clara, California, De Anzo College in Cupertino, California, Moberly Jr. College in Moberly, Mo and University of Missouri College Columbia, Mo where he studied art.
Charles loved all kinds of art from charcoal drawings to painting portraits. At the age of 16, he suffered a severe stroke and self-taught to continue his passion for his art with his left hand. Along with his love of art, he loved riding his scooter and bicycle, and pulling his Chihuahua in a carriage behind him. Charles loved animals. His best side kick was Missy, his chihuahua, and he enjoyed his yellow shouldered Amazon parrot, Sassy and a great Dane, Shadow.
On July 6, 2002, Charles was united in marriage to Tracey Butler. To this union Charles adopted, on April 14, 2004, adopted 3 sons, Allen Michael, Justin William, and Brandon Lee Creswell. He also raised 1 foster son, Sandy Bialczyk.
Charles’s love of 21 years, Tracey, survives in their home in Belle, Mo; His father, Richard Creswell and wife Linda of Warsaw, Mo; his sons, Allen (Nathan) Fletcher Creswell of Batavia, Oh, Justin (Bradley Buss II) of Quincy, Il, Brandon (Kelly Bishop) of Slater, Mo, and Sandy (Kelly) Bialczyk of Rolla, Mo; His brother, Tom Creswell of Marshall, Mo; a sister, Mary Creswell of Warrensburg, Mo; his niece, Shauna Ellar of Nelson, Mo as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Charles is preceded in death by his grandparents, William Richard and Rowaine (Long) Creswell; his mother and father-in-law, Mary Jane (Plante) and Marion E. Butler; his brother-in-law, Timothy Butler; 2 sisters-in-law, Paulette Leonard and Dora Butler. He also is preceded in death by 2 infant grandchildren.
Charles was a member of the Bland Christian Church. Charles loved learning about our Lord, the bible and loved religious art. Charles will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society in memory of Charles and Mary Butler.
Visitation for Charles will be on Friday, September 29, 2023 at the Bland Christian Church from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm.
