Cherrish Marie Reed was born March 13, 2006, to David Reed and Aimee Meadows. While passing in the early morning of September 24, 2013, at the age of 7, she lived a life as wise as the dragonfly making every minute special for those she loved.
Cherrish will be missed by her brother Quintin Reed, her Grandpa Kenny Reed of Belle, Grandma Kathleen McLaughlin of Bland, and Brad Oliver. Her great grandparents, Zillah Reed of Belle, Betty McLaughlin of Bland, and Red and Sussie Meadows of Lake Ozark will also miss the bright and shining smile of Cherrish. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins also mourn with the loss of this special person.
Welcoming this new angel into Heaven was Grandma Theresa Reed, Uncle Mike Reed, Great Grandpa Hershel Reed, great uncle Donnie Reed, Great Grandpa Terrance McLaughlin, Great Great Grandma Theresa McLaughlin and her husband Tex, Great Aunt Alice Cox, and Great Great Grandparents Marie and Elbert Blankenship and Cherrish's cousin Angel Buechter.
Despite Cherrish's disabilities of the crippling disease cerebral palsy, she enjoyed spending time watching wrestling, and UFC, and really enjoyed spending time outdoors including riding the four wheelers. Her favorite movies were horror movies. While most adults flinch and become scared, Cherrish laughed her way through the most gruesome scenes. Her best days were spent enjoying time in the water. Whether it was being splashed at a creek or running her wheelchair through a sprinkler, she loved every minute. Add a little heavy metal music and Cherrish was enjoying Heaven on Earth.
Cherrish was always smiling and embraced life every day. David and Aimee will always remember the smile and giggles that could bring them out of their darkest days. As Cherrish watches as the dragonfly from Heaven above, let her wise days on Earth fill our hearts with the hope that we will embrace life and impact lives with endless smiles.
