Clarence August Czeschin of Bland Route died Thursday, November 17, 2011, in the St. Mary's hospital in Jefferson City. He was 86. Clarence was born on April 8, 1925, on the family farm. He is the son of the late Louis C. and Albertina Danuser Czeschin. On October 10, 1947, while on active duty in the U.S. Army, Clarence married Julia Bahlej in Augsburg, Germany.
Surviving Clarence is his wife of 64 years, two sons Clarence F. with his wife Susan of Owensville and Mike with his wife Connie of Linn, and three daughters Linda with her husband Ron Calton of Springfield, Elly with her husband Bill Roy of High Ridge, and Donna Wallace of Columbia. Also surviving are three brothers Leo, Harlan, and J.T. Czeschin and one sister Effie Frie. There are 11 grand children, 16 great grand children, and 6 great great grand children.
After the war Clarence and Julia moved to the Bland area where they lived and worked on a small farm. Clarence took a job in St. Louis with General Motors and retired in 1985, after thirty years of service. Clarence was a member of the College Hill Baptist Church.
