Clifford Robert Hansen

Clifford Robert Hansen formerly of Bland, died Sat afternoon, Oct 9, 2010, in Rich Fountain. He was 79. Cliff was born on Feb 4, 1931, in Chippewa Falls, Wisc. He is the son of the late Johannes and Edith Hansen. On Oct 6, 1951, Cliff was married to Verna Mae Wilmsmeier. Their marriage was blessed with 7 children.
Surviving Cliff are 3 sons, Clifford "Butch" Jr. with his wife Kelly of Rich Fountain, Joe with his wife Trish of Bland, and Kevin of St. Peters, and 4 daughters Ellie Stradford of Centralia, Debra Hansen of Westphalia, Dorothy Thenhaus with her husband Robbie of Bland, and Christina Hanse of Elmyra, New York. There are 25 grand children and 26 great grand children.
Cliff is preceded in death by his wife Verna and one infant brother.
Cliff served four years in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1952. He worked for several years as a dock worker for trucking companies in St. Louis. In 1978 Cliff and his family moved to the Bland community where Cliff worked and retired from Kingsford Charcoal. After the death of Cliff's wife, he moved to Owensville, the Lake of the Ozarks, and Rich Fountain.
