Clifford Carl McDaniel

Clifford Carl McDaniel passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord at the Frene Valley Care facility in Owensville Sunday, January 13, 2013. He was 87. Clifford was born on February 11, 1925, to John Adam and Minnie Hicks McDaniel.
Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, John and Minnie, brothers Joe, Logan, Bert, Harvey, and sisters May Myrtle, Oma, and Marie.

Clifford was united in marriage to Veta Louise Holman on August 31st, 1949, and shared 58 years on marriage before Veta passed on May 15, 2008.
Those left to celebrate Clifford's long happy life are his children Steve McDaniel, Joanie Glandon, and Grady McDaniel with his wife Judy all of Belle. Clifford's grand children are Troy McDaniel with his wife Michelle and their children Miles and Trace of Hillsboro, MO, Clay McDaniel with his wife Sara and their sons Liam and Gus of Belle, and Jeff Kinkead with his wife April with their children Presley and Brett Kinkead of Pekin, IL. There are three great great grand children Laila, Abby, and Kooper Kinkead all of Pekin, IL. Also surviving Clifford is a brother John McDaniel with his wife Ruth and son Matt of Bland and sister Patsy Gehlert of Belle. Clifford has many, many, nieces and nephews.
Clifford's first job was with the Civilian Conservation Corps at the age of 16, and then clay mining for Virgil Smith, Kingsford Charcoal, and many for many years Clifford worked and retired from the Belle Counter Factory. After his retirement from the Counter Factory, Clifford worked as custodian at the Belle Schools and also with his son Steve in a lawn and cemetery mowing business.
Clifford loved to squirrel hunt, camp and fish with his family on the Gasconade and Bourbois rivers. He loved wood working in his little shop and listening to bluegrass music. But most of all he loved being with his grandkids and family gatherings.
He will be sadly missed by many.
Services for Clifford will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am from the Sassmann's Chapel in Belle. Interment will be in the Skaggs cemetery.
