Dale A. Horstman

Dale Allen Horstman, age 70, of Bland, was born September 26, 1954 at Rolla, a son of Rosemary (Phelps) and Randall Horstman, and passed from this life on Sunday, March 23, 2025, in his home in Bland, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

He was united in marriage August 31, 1974, at Ellington, MO to the former Ms. Deborah Lynn Brunk, and to this union, one child was born.

During his working life, he was employed at Johnson Controls, Jefferson City for 26 years until his health prevented him from working. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, 4-wheel riding, jeep riding, and floating with family and friends on the Black River.

Those left to mourn the passing of Dale, include his loving wife of 50 years, Deborah of the home near Bland and his daughter LeeAnn Snodgrass and husband Bill of Vienna; two brothers, Jeff Horstman and wife Kelly of Bland, and Steve Horstman and wife Frankie of Belle; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Rosemary (Phelps) Horstman and Randall Horstman, grandparents, Anna Phelps and Charles Phelps and Freda Horstman and Albert Horstman.

Visitation for Dale will be on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Sassmann’s Chapel in Bland from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Sassmann’s Chapel in Bland beginning at 11:00 am. with Ronnie Woody and Shane Jarvis officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.
