Dana A. Crowell

Dana A. Crowell, age 58, of Belle, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013, at the St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.

Dana was born August 16, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter to Richard and Betty (Melson) Faulkner. Both survive of Canaan.

She was a 1973 graduate of Hazelwood High School in St. Louis.

Dana was a resident of the Belle area for over 25 years. . .

On March 25, 2002, Dana was united in marriage to Martin L. Crowell at Dana's parent's home in Canaan. Martin survives of the home.

Dana worked at AMF Playmaster in Bland before it closed and was presently employed at the Quaker window factory in Freeburg.

Dana was a very giving person who would always put her needs last. Dana loved to cook for others. Her family especially loved her homemade salsa. She liked watching Wheel of Fortune of a evening and hated to miss an episode. She loved all children, whether it was her own kids or friends of theirs. She would always treat them as her own. Dana's biggest joy in life was taking care of others. Especially her family who will miss her greatly. She loved to spend time with all sixteen of her grandchildren and her one great grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dana is survived by: three sons, Michael Ubinger of Belle, Keith Ubinger and his wife Ashley of Clarksville, Tenn., and Ray Kitchen of Belle; two daughters, Renee Benson and her husband Tony of Clarksville, Tenn., and Robin Abbott and her husband Matt of Oakgrove, KY.; two step-daughters, Samantha Crowell and Madalyn Crowell, both of St. Louis; two brothers, Richard Faulkner and his wife Tammy of Canaan and James Faulkner of St. Louis; one sister, Jackie Underwood and her husband Skip of Nashville, Ill.; sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2013 at the St. Peters United Church of Christ in Owensville. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Chris Ross officiating.
