Daniel Ray Britton"Dan", age 53, of Belle, formally of Colorado , passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015, at his residence.
Dan was born June 25, 1961, in Pueblo, Colorado, a son to the late Jack and Nancy (Watson) Britton.
Dan was a 1980 Graduate of La Veta High School in La Veta, Colorado and attended Pikes Peak Community College.
Dan was currently employed at McDonalds in Owensville as a crew chief where he enjoyed working and mentoring the young staff.
Dan in his spare time enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time with friends and family along with walking his dog, Bronco. Dan was a kind hearted man who was willing to help anyone in need. Dan was also known as "Dan the Man" because of his exceptional handy man skills.
Dan will always be known for his great sense of humor, his love of life, and the love of his family. He always had a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed by those that knew him.
Dan was a member of the Owensville Gun Club. He enjoyed swimming, biking, and going up into the mountains.
Dan is survived by: one son, Justin Britton of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one daughter, Ashley Britton of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one brother David Britton and wife Linda of Vancouver, Washington; one sister Cindy Pierotti and husband Bob of Cuchara, Colorado; his girlfriend, for eleven years, Alicia Wood and her son Blade Wood of Belle as well as many extended family members and friends. Dan was expecting his first grandson in a few months.
In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by a brother, John Britton.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Sassmann's Chapel in Belle. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Elmore officiating.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Dan Britton family for his future grandson's college fund
