Davy A. Walters

Davy A. Walters, age 44, of Belle passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the Harry S. Truman V.A. Hospital in Columbia.

Davy was born December 2, 1972, in Rolla, a son to David G. Walters and the late Denise (Kellar) Walters.

He was a 1992 graduate of Belle High School and attended the First Baptist Church in Belle.

On December 20, 1996 Davy was united in marriage to Tara Williams. She preceded him in death on December 21, 2015.

Davy proudly served his country in the United States Army. He served three tours of duty. Two in Iraq and one in Afghanistan and retired after 24 years of faithful service.

Davy enjoyed shooting guns and hunting. He was a Nascar racing fan with Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Dale, Jr. as his favorite drivers. Davy had other hobbies but his children were his life. He loved spending time with them, his grandchildren, and the rest of his family and friends. He will be missed by those that knew and loved him.

Davy is survived by: two sons, Drew and Douglas Walters; three daughters, Anastasia, Devyn, and Daylee Walters; two grandchildren, Tanner and Talia Carroll; his father, David G. Walters; two sisters, Dawn Hicks and her husband Randy of Belle and Deena Crews of Belle; two nephews, Brett Hicks and Nathan (Nate) Crews; and one niece, Shawna Hicks as well as many extended family members and friends.

Davy is preceded in death by his mother and wife.

Visitation for Davy will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Belle. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be in the College Hill Cemetery with full Military Honors.
