Delores June Gooch

Delores June Gooch, age 84, of Belle, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2015 at the Health and Rehabilitation Suites in Rolla.

Delores was born September 20, 1930, in Mount Vernon, IL, a daughter to the late William Stowell and Cleo Adel (Dodson) Massey.

She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in Illinois and was raised in the Baptist faith.

Delores moved to the Belle area from Mountain Home, AR. where she had been employed at the Town and Country Supermarket as a checker for many years.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed all kinds of literature including the Readers Digest. Delores also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, listening to older country and loved to dance when she was younger. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and especially her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Delores is survived by: five children, Leonard Schrum and his wife Julie of Vermont, Sharon Kinkead and her husband Gary of Bland, Marvin Schrum and his wife Denise of Kankakee, IL, Linda Case and her husband Donnie of Manteno, IL, and Junie Kozak and her husband George of Manteno, IL; seventeen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren as well as many extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by: one son, David Haynes and four brothers, Lloyd, Gene, Zane, and Howard.

A visitation for Delores will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the First Christian Church in Belle. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mitchel Seaton officiating.
