Delores Wilma (Vincent) Perkins, age 85, of Belle, MO, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021, at MU Hospital.
Delores was born October 9, 1935, at her home in Cooper Hill, MO, a daughter to the late Gilbert Joseph Vincent and Minnie Mina (Leach) Vincent. Her father preceded her in death in 1963, followed by her mother in 1964.
Delores attended school in Cooper Hill and graduated the 8th grade in 1950. On December 30, 1956, she was united in marriage to Thomas Jacob Perkins in Owensville, MO and from this marriage 4 children were born. Thomas preceded Delores in death on November 29, 2005.
Delores was a lifelong resident of the Belle area and a member of the Assembly of God Church where she was the secretary/treasurer for over 50 years. She worked for the International Shoe Company most of her young adult life, Casey’s for a short stint, and subbed as a cook for the Maries R2 School; but her true calling was being a “Nana”. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, and going to church. Her greatest love was time spent with family, friends, and her church family.
Delores is survived by: two children, Sandra Diann Perkins-Bray of Belle, and Jerry Wayne Perkins and wife Misty of Belle; one sister, Yvonne and husband Robert Ickenroth of O’Fallon; one brother-in-law, Billy Perkins and wife Terri of Belle; two sisters-in-law, Doris Hayes of Wheatland, Cora Bonebrake and husband Jerry of Rolla; seven grandchildren, Josh Perkins and wife Jasmine of Belle, Thomas Bray and wife Adell of Belle, Nick Perkins and wife Amanda of Blue Springs, Justin Bray and wife Kayla of Belle, Seth Perkins, Misty Barnes and husband Edwin of Center Point, Madison Kneeskern and husband Michael of Belle; and 22 great grandchildren, as well as many other extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband of 49 years, Delores was preceded in death by two children, Karen Ganice Perkins and Keith Douglas Perkins; one son-in-law, Danny Lynn Bray; six brothers, Troy Vincent, Melvin Vincent and wife Fern, Buel “Jack” Vincent and wife Edith, Harvey “Billy” Vincent, Clyde “Raymond” Vincent and wife Clara, Delmar Vincent; two sisters, Opal Nixon and husband Frank, Maybelle Nixon, and husband Rude; five brothers-in-law, Charles Perkins, and wife Joann, John Perkins and wife Marie, Fred Perkins and wife Marie, David McNeel, Maurice “Sunny” Hayes; and two sisters-in- law, Margaret Ann Perkins and Coleta (Perkins) Murray and husband Don.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Faith Christian Center Assembly of God in Belle with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Bill Perkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Cemetery near Belle.
