Donald Barry Green

Donald Barry Green, age 66, of Belle passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024. 

Barry was born August 13, 1958, in St. Louis, a son to the late Benjamin F. Green and Hazel (Butler) Green. He was preceded in death by his father and his mother Hazel survives of her home in Belle. 

 He worked for Shanks Construction when he younger before working in the asphalt business in St. Claire and for the State of Tennessee for over 20 years. 

 Barry proudly served his country in the United States Army. 

Barry enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and being outdoors. He liked to listen to classic rock music, hot rods and motorcycles. Barry loved his sister and her kids and enjoyed life to the fullest.

 In addition to his mother, Hazel, Barry is survived by: three children, Jill Beckermann and her husband Scott of St. Genivieve, Mike Green and his wife Heather of Belle, and Donald James Green and his wife Melanie of Bowling Green; four grandchildren, Jayci, Alysa, Olivia, and Logan; one sister, Anita Ludwig and her husband Dan of Belle; two brothers, John Green of Belle and Ben Green, Jr of Belle; and one uncle, Dale Butler and his wife Cathy of Wentzville as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. 

 Barry was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin F. Green and a sister, Liana Podhorn. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will be announced by Sassmann’s Chapel
