Edward Ray Jones

Edward Ray Jones of Linn died Saturday, Nov 17th, 2012, in the St. Mary's hospital in Jefferson City. He was 81. Ed was born on May 1st, 1931, in Owensville. He is the son of the late James Elijah and Myrtle Neva Ridenhour Jones. On April 1st, 1949, Ed was married to Edith Williams and to this union five children were born.
Surviving Ed are three sons Larry with his wife Carol of Koeltztown, Jerry, Sr. with his wife Fern Diane of Cooper Hill, and Michael Dean Jones of New Florence and two daughters Sharon Owens with her husband David of Linn and Michelle Jones of Mexico. Also surviving is one sister Fern Litton of Belle. There are 13 grand children, 29 great grand children, and 3 great great grand children.
Ed is preceded in death by his wife Edith and a grand daughter Christina.
Ed worked most of his life behind the wheel of a truck. He worked for Woody Bogler, the State of Missouri, and he retired from Jones and Turner Trucking Company in 1996.
Visitation for Edward will be Monday, November 19, 2012 from 4-8 at Sassmann Chapel in Belle. Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from the Pilot Knob Baptist church in Belle. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
