Elnora Shanks

Elnora Shanks of Belle passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in Frene Valley Healthcare South, Owensville, Missouri. She was born Jan. 9, 1919 the daughter of John and Sophia Picker Baumgartner. On July 17, 1937, Elnora was married to August "Gus" Shanks in Vienna.
Her surviving family includes one daughter and son-in-law Verna and Bill Butler, grandchildren Dewayne Butler and wife Keva of Belle, LaDana Calame of Kansas City, Kansas, Donnie Shanks of Belle, and Terry Calame of Jefferson City, Missouri. Great grand children, Bryan Butler and wife Amanda, Kiefer Calame of Jefferson City, Missouri, Emily and Brett Butler of Belle. One great, great, grand daughter Caylee Butler of Jefferson City, daughter-in-law Lynna Shanks, and one sister Mary Hafner of Belle, and a sister-in-law Bernice Willoughby of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband "Gus", son Armand, a sister Elizabeth Shanks and three brothers Louis, Frank, and August Baumgartner.
Elnora is a member of the Belle Church of Christ.
