Floyd Jacob "Jake" Arnold

Floyd Jacob "Jake" Arnold of Bland died Christmas morning, 2009, at his home south of Bland. He was 63. Jake was born February 23, 1946, in St. Louis. He is the son of the late Frank and Peggy Williams Arnold.
Jake served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam era. After the war Jake worked in St. Louis as a fire fighter. He was retired after fifteen years from Jahabow in Owensville. Jake and Shirley moved to Kentucky for a year after his retirement. They returned to the Bland community after Jake's health began to fail.
Surviving Jake is his wife Shirley, two daughters Jacqueline Reay and Jeri Barker and one son Jake Arnold, Jr. There are five grand children Tara Jean Banks, Holly Lynn Reay, Michael John Reay, Shannon Marie Arnold, and Danny Thomas, and two great grand children Lillian Jean Banks and Carter Scott Bishop. Also surviving Jake is a brother Dr. Paul Arnold and a sister Connie Franken.
Jake is preceded in death by a daughter Julie, a son Stanley, and a brother Frank.
