Harriet Jean Pearson

Harriet Jean Pearson of Redbird died early Monday morning, April 11, 2011, in the Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was 71. Harriet was born on August 14, 1939, in Grace, Minnesota. She is the daughter of the late Harry and Selma Greiner Wilke. On December 13, 1958, Harriet was married to Douglas Pearson. Together they cared for 13 foster children,
Harriet was Doug's partner for over 52 years. They worked together on many farm projects and construction projects. Doug and Harriet moved to the Bland area in the fall of 1962 when they became managers of the Elkhead Lodge. They were rarely apart.
Surviving Harriet is her husband Doug and a sister Betty Schleh of New London, Minnesota.
