Herbert Maurice "Doc" Tyree

Herbert Maurice "Doc" Tyree of Owensville, died Saturday morning, September 11, 2010, in the Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla. He was 77. Doc was born on April 3, 1933, in Osage county, near College Hill. He is the son of the late Joseph and Opal Harrison Tyree. On April 18, 1953, Doc was married to Pearl Mitchell and to this union four children were born.
Surviving Doc is his wife Pearl, three sons Mark with his wife Holly of Leslie, Don with his wife Jonetta of Gerald, and Kenny of New Haven, and one daughter Gail Fink of Hermann. Also surviving are a brother Danny Tyree and a sister Jody Kearns both of St. Louis. There are seven grand children and one great grand child.
Doc is preceded in death by four brothers Kenny, Russell, Jim, and Dewey, and three sisters Nellie Burke, Evelyn Scott, and Carlene Jett.
Doc was retired from the Laborer's Union 840 in Rolla. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Doc and Pearl lived several years in St. Louis, then moved to New Haven, and in 2000 they moved to Owensville.
