Ida Margaret Tipton

Ida Margaret Tipton, age 92, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the Cedar Pointe Nursing facility in Rolla.

Ida was born August 19, 1929, in Vichy a daughter to the late Paul and Elsie (Brown) Shockley.

Ida was united in marriage to James “Red” H. Tipton. James preceded her in death on December 10, 2013. James and Ida enjoyed traveling and camping in their RV together and taking their Yorkie “Twinkle” for walks.

Ida’s hobbies included fishing, being outdoors, gardening, and watching the Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune. She loved telling stories about the past and visiting with people. Her zest for life and her smile will be missed greatly by her family and people that knew and loved her.

Ida is survived by: two grandchildren and six great nieces and nephews as well as other extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ida was preceded in death by her son James “Shorty” Tipton, a sister Berniece Rowe, two nephews Wayne and Dale Rowe, and her Yorkie, Twinkle.

Graveside services for Ida will be on Monday, April 25, 2022, at Countryside Memorial Gardens near Bland beginning at 1:00 p.m.
