Janet G. Eyman, age 77, of Belle passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Phelps Health Medical Center in Rolla.  

 She was born January 8, 1944, in St. James, a daughter to the late William and Grace (Weaver) Moreland.                              

On November 8, 1979 she was united in marriage to Jim Eyman in Rockport, Missouri. Jim survives of their home near Vichy.

 Janet was a homemaker and it was a job she enjoyed. She was a great cook and was known for her homemade pies at the Vichy firehouse dinners. Janet was a avid horse rider when she was younger and was a member of the St. James Saddle Club for a time. She enjoyed reading, doing word puzzles, watching old westerns with John Wayne and Gunsmoke, gardening, and growing flowers. Janet was a animal lover and loved taking care of her fish, chickens, and calves. She was a determined lady who knew what she wanted in life and let nothing stop her. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

 In addition to her husband, Jim, she is survived by: two son’s Carl Wayne Lackey and his wife Kim of St. James and Tim Lackey and his wife Joy of Phillipsburg, Kansas; one daughter Wendy Akins of Belle; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers Charles Moreland and his wife Lorali of Pennsylvania, Larry Moreland of Cuba, Mo, and James “Max” Moreland of St. James; two sisters, Brenda Skaggs and her husband Ed of St. James and Carol Marietta Ritz and her husband Nick of Pennsylvania as well as many extended family members and friends.

 Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Grace (Weaver) Moreland and William Delmar Moreland; three children, Cindy (Lackey) Anderson, Mark Edward Lackey, and an infant daughter, Penny JoAnne Lackey; three brothers Stanley “Joe” and Delmar Gerald “Skeeter” Moreland and Paul Moreland; and two sisters, June (Moreland) Gardner, and Novella “Granny” Bullock.

 Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle. Memorial Services will follow at 3:00 p.m.

 Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family of Janet G. Eyman.
