Jason "Cowboy" John Chapman

Jason J. “Cowboy” Chapman, age 49, of Owensville, passed away on April 23, 2024.

Jason was born on November 8, 1974, in St. Louis, a son to the late Robert “Bob” and Yvonne (Molecke) Chapman.

Jason was a lifelong area resident and a 1994 graduate of Owensville High School.

Jason had been employed at Lost Valley Lake Resort for over 15 years. He was a hard worker who rarely took a day off. The people that worked there, as well as the people who stayed there, loved and adored him. Some would only let Jason take care of their RV’s. Jason was kind hearted, and easy going with a great sense of humor. He lived his life the way he wanted. Other than work, his hobbies included hunting and fishing as well as raising Australian Shepherds when he was younger. Jason was also great with cattle and enjoyed helping out his father on the farm when he was younger. He will be missed greatly by those that knew and loved him.

Jason is survived by: two brothers, Cory Chapman and his wife Patty of Bland and Darron Chapman; his second mother, Linda Chapman; one niece, Caitlyn Backer; and his dog Butters as well as many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Yvonne and his father Robert.
