John Richard Miller

John Richard Miller of Belle died Thursday, January 27, 2011, in the Phelps County Regional Hospital in Rolla. John has been struggling for the last few years with cancer. He was 81. John was born on December 12, 1929, in St. Louis. He is the son of the late Jack and Grace Carter Miller. On June 11, 1949, John was married to Bette Davis.
John had worked in St. Louis for a shoe company and a sheet metal and steel company. He retired as a foreman from a fencing company and moved to Belle in the late 90's.
Surviving John is his wife Bette of the home, a son Stephen with his wife Lynn of Surprise, Arizona, and two daughters Christi Miller of Belle and Donna Miller Deaton with her husband David of Bloomington, Illinois. Also surviving is one sister Barbara Miller of Warrenton. There are nine grand children Andy, Raul, Ashley, Amanda, Stephainie, Mark, Brad, Linzie, and Shelby, and seven great grand children.
John is preceded in death by three sisters Margaret Martin, Dorothy Clark, and Betty Smith.
