Kathryn S. Schwartz

Kathryn Sue Schwartz, of Belle, was born February 4, 1953 in Gardner, Kansas and passed away peacefully and surrounded by love on October 23, 2018 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla.

Kathy was married to Mike Schwartz on August 16, 1985 and together raised four wonderful children over the course of Mike’s Air Force career.

The consummate military wife, Kathy excelled in the hardest job in the Air Force, weathering many assignments and moves as well as shouldering the burden on her own when Mike was deployed or assigned to remote locations. Following the Air Force career, Kathy served as a blue star mom to her two battle proven Marines through four combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Above all else, Kathy loved and was devoted to her family. She was tireless in keeping her home and selfless in ensuring all their need were met. Her children and grandchildren were the lights of her life. Kathy is survived by her husband Mike, daughters Melissa Taylor-Gates and her husband Kurt of Liberty and Meredith Randall and her husband Travis of Grain Valley, sons Michael and his wife Anna of Enterprise, Alabama and Matthew and his wife Miranda of Sedalia as well as by six grandchildren.

Kathy’s wish was that there be no services and that she be cremated and her family is honoring this request.
