Kem Allyn Steiner

Kem Allyn Steiner, age 63, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021.

He was born November 15, 1957, Washington, MO, a son to the late Erlene (Drewel) Steiner.

Kem attended Bland High School where he graduated top of his class as valedictorian in 1976.

On September 19, 1981, he was united in marriage to Kelley Uffmann in Bland, Missouri.

Kem loved spending time with his family and friends, enjoyed playing fast pitch softball, drinking beer, collecting Ducks Unlimited gear, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, muscle cars and hot blondes.

In addition to his wife, Kem is survived by: one son, Ross Steiner and his wife Rita of Loose Creek; 2 daughters, Jenna Sladek and her husband Nick of Pacific, and Kara Sneeringer and her husband Darren of Catawissa; 4 grandchildren, Eliott Sladek, Rowynn Steiner, Lukas Sladek, and Remy Steiner; 1 brother, Ned Steiner of Bland; 1 niece/goddaughter, Rachel Schlottog and her husband Kurt and their son Jance of Bland; 1 cousin,  Steven and Jennie Peth of St. Louis, as well as many other extended family members and friends.  

In addition to his mom, Kem was preceded in death by his Granny and Pappy Drewel and aunt and uncle, Erna and Jim Peth.

Visitation for Kem will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Sassmann’s Chapel in Bland. Graveside services will follow at old Bland Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. For those attending, masks are suggested and social distancing guidelines must be followed.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the family of Kem Steiner, to be divided among his grandchildren.
