Lillie Marie Midgett

Lillie Marie Midgett of Bay died early Sunday morning, May 9, 2010, in her home at the age of 97. Lillie was born on April 20, 1913, in Zink, Missouri. She is the daughter of the late Jake and Lucy Bird Borders. On May 22, 1950, Lillie was joined in marriage to J.C. Midgett. During her life Lillie had picked cotton, worked in a bakery and a restaurant, and retired after 25 years as a press operator on an assembly line with Crown Cork and Seal.
Lillie is survived by three daughters Phyllis Morton with her husband Roger of Maryland Heights, Barbara Barciszewski with her husband Dominic of Hermann, and Patricia Clendening with her husband Bruce of Temple, Georgia. There are 30 grand children, many great grand children, and great great grand children. Also surviving are two sisters Helen Webb of Illinois and Faye Puttnam of Texas, three daughters in law Sookie Edwards, Linda Midget, and Bernice Edwards, and a special friend Tony Vaughn with his family of Bay.
Lillie is preceded in death by her husband J.C. three sons Buddy Edwards, Billy Jo Midgett, and Eldon Edwards, one daughter Bonnie Yocum, and a son in law Claude Yocum. Also preceding Lillie are her brothers Cleat and Leman Borders and three sisters Pauline, Veta and Juanita.
