Linda F. Stroupe

Linda F. Stroupe, age 70, of Bland, passed away March 30, 2023 at SSM Health St. Mary’s in Jefferson City.

Linda was born February 16, 1953 at home in Sheffield, Alabama, a daughter to the late Francis (King) Owens. She was a 1971 graduate of Union High School and received her degree in business from Linn Tech.

On December 20, 1980 she was united in marriage to Dennis Stroupe at the Christian Church in Sullivan. Dennis survives of their home near Bland.

Linda had been employed at Pacer Industries in Washington when she was younger and retired from Legends Bank after over 20 years as a Teller.

Linda was a member at First Christian in Bland for over 40 years and was very active in her church working with youth groups as well as other activities. Her faith in God was strong. Linda loved fishing in ponds and the Gasconade River and passed that love on to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, gardening and canning and made really good blackberry jelly. Linda helped raise all of her grandchildren and family was the most important thing to her. She took joy from seeing others happy. She will be missed tremendously by her community, family, and friends.

In addition to her husband of 42 years, Linda is survived by: one son, Jeremy Stroupe, Sr. of Bland; one daughter, Angela Stroupe and her significant other Bryan of Bland; three grandchildren, Jayda Little and her husband Gabe, Dakota Fisher, and Jeremy Stroupe, Jr; one brother, Charlie Owens and his wife Cindy of Union; and one sister, Elizabeth Lamkin of Owensville as well as many extended family members and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Francis Owens, one brother, Robert Owens, one sister Julie Barton, and her mother and father-in-law Tom and Fern Stroupe.

A celebration of life for Linda will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the Bland Christian Church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a service at 2:00 p.m.
