Lorna Rose Jones

Lorna Rose Jones of Belle died Tuesday, February 5th, 2013, in the Frene Valley Nursing Home at the age of 83. Lorna was born on November 11, 1929, in Belle. She is the daughter of the late Edward and Irene Koenig Newbound. On May 28th, 1949, Lorna was married to Bobby Lee Jones and to this union two children were born.
Surviving Lorna is a daughter Jackie Goodman with her husband Dave, seven grand children Lucas, Shawn, and Gavin Jones, Henry and Gary Rehmert, and Chris and Ryan Goodman, and thirteen great grand children Dakota, Garrik, Abel, Lani, Dalton, Mea, Lydia, Chloe, Emily, Kaylee, Blake, Allison, and Evelyn. Also surviving Lorna is a sister Freda Oliver with her husband Leon.
Lorna is preceded in death by her husband Bobby, son Dennis, and grand daughter Jerri. Also preceding Lorna are three brothers John, Bruce, and infant Michael Newbound, and one sister Wilma Tibbetts.
Lorna was a lifetime resident of the Belle community. She was retired from International Shoe Company.
A memorial service for Lorna will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM in the Pilot Knob Baptist Church. A lunch and gathering of family and friends will begin at 12:00 noon in the Pilot Knob Fellowship Hall.
