Lovell Bernard Sparling

Lovell Benard Sparling of Bland, passed away at his home on August 3, 2012 at the age of 90. Lovell was born on August 18, 1921 in Dieterich, IL, the son of Royal Bert and Susan Arvilla (Williams) Sparling.He married Kathryne Stockwell on October 14, 1952, and she preceded him in death on August 21, 1998. Lovell served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He retired from Continental Can after 37 years of service. Lovell is survived by a sister, Ida Mae smith of Bakersfield, CA, and several nieces and nephews. He is prceded in death by his parents, his wife, 2 brothers Berna Sparling and Ivan Sparling, 3 sisters Dola Lucille Gomez, Dance Martin and Identa Perry.
Services for Lovell were held on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL. Interment was in the South Muddy Cemetery in rural Ingraham, IL.
