Margaretta Rhodes of Bland passed away early Monday morning, August 16, 2010, in the home of her daughter Bonnie Barton in Fulton. Marge was born on November 13, 1920 in St. Louis. She is the oldest and last of ten children born to the late Arthur and Minnie Crook Green. On October 20, 1940, Marge was married to Hubert "Dusty" Rhodes. Their marriage was blessed with five girls.
Surviving Marge are her daughters, Diane Rector of Bland, Bonnie Barton with her husband Jim of Fulton, Sally Ramey with her husband Rick of Huntsville, Alabama, Mary Caputa with her husband Sam of St. Louis, and June Maginnis with her husband Rick of Lafayette, Colorado. There are fourteen grand children
Steven Rector (Tina), Julie Adamson (Rodney), Daniel Pfingsten, Dana Koch (Glenn) Jamie Barton, Matthew (Stephanie) Pfingsten, Samuel Caputa, Courtney Pfingsten, Nickalus Caputa, Rachel Rector, Daniel Caputa, Logan, Emily and Thomas Maginnis and six great grandchildren, Ryan and Leslie Pfingsten, Lynsey and Austin Rector, Kelsey and Olivia Koch.
Marge and Dusty lived their working lives in St. Louis. In 1981, Marge and Dusty settled in to their county home near Red Bird. Marge was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church.
