Maxine Marie Smith

Maxine Marie Smith of Bland, died Friday afternoon, May 18, 2012, in the Gasconade Manor Nursing Home in Owensville. She was 75. Maxine was born on May 11, 1937, in Owensville. She is the daughter of the late Cecil and Anna Crider Creek. On June 4, 1953, Maxine was married to Ray Allen. They made their home in Jefferson City where Ray worked for the Missouri Highway Patrol and Maxine worked in the Division of Aging and the Department of Corrections for the State of Missouri. Ray preceded Maxine in death in 1988. They are survived by five children, Donna Watt, Debbie Scheel, Cheryl Heidbreder, Sandy Allen, and Darrell Allen. There are ten grand children and ten great grand children.
One June 20, 1998, Maxine was married to Don Smith in Jefferson City. They made their home in Bland.
Maxine is survived by two brothers Paul of New Haven and Butch Creek of St. Charles and three sisters Geraldine Thompson of Florida, Pauline Wheeler of Belle, and Billie Ann Crossman of Washington. She is preceded by a brother Sam, a sister Erma Gardner, and an infant brother and sister.
Maxine was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church.
