Neva Delores Bollman died September 29, 2011 at the age of 94 at John Paul II Nursing Home in Kenedy, Texas where she had been a resident since May, 2007.
Neva was born at College Hill, Missouri September 26, 1917, the daughter of Henry Clay and Maymie (Smith) Branson. She grew up in the College Hill community, and was a long time resident of Bland. On January 13, 1940 she was married to Edwin Bollman, and to this union three sons were born.
Surviving Neva is one son, Ken Bollman and his wife Lou of Falls City, Texas; a daughter-in-law Carolyn (Wehmeyer) Bollman, Falls City; granddaughters, Lori Ann Bollman, Cappell, Texas, Christy Blocker and husband Vernon, and Shelly Gorzell and husband Henry (Jr.), all of Falls City; Jackie Watson, Austin, Texas and Trish Bollman and Yan of San Diego, California; two step granddaughters, Jerri Lynn Leith and Flake of Hockley, Texas and Jamie Zen Watts and Clay of Lebanon, Missouri; nine great grandchildren, and four great step grandchildren; and nieces, Sue Cole of Bland, Missouri and Georgia Mae Elberson of Marshall, Arkansas; three nephews Terry Bollmann, Robert Bollman and Homer Bollman, Jr. all of Edwardsville, Illinois.
Preceding Neva in death is her husband, Edwin on September 2, 1999; two sons, Eddie in 1959 and Ralph in 2010; and a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Mildred (Toots) Branson in 1999.
Neva was a past member of the Bland Lioness Club and the First Baptist Church in Bland. She and Edwin owned and operated a trucking company, serving the Belle and Bland farm communities for many years. In 1995, Edwin and Neva moved to Texas to be near their sons and grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday afternoon with burial in the Bland Union Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Sassmann Funeral Service.
