Nina M. Maness

Nina M. Maness, age 70, of Belle passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019, at her residence.   

 Nina was born February 28, 1949, in Cairo, Illinois, a daughter to the Ben and Dora (Taylor) Tinnon.   

 On April 11, 1964, Nina was united in marriage to William Wilson. William preceded her in death on June 5, 1982. Nina was remarried on July 7, 1985 to Wesley Maness. He preceded her in death as well on January 16, 2012.

 Nina was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Belle and an area resident for over 20 years.

 Nina was employed as a factory worker at both Bussman Fuse and Brown Shoe Company in St. Louis for many years. Later, she worked as a housekeeper at Autumn Meadows nursing facility in Linn.

 Nina enjoyed watching TV and would never miss an episode of “The Young and the Restless”. She also enjoyed doing seek and find books and playing Yahtzee. Nina loved to collect anything to do with frogs. Whether it was ceramic frogs or stuffed, it had a place in her home. She especially loved being with her family and will be missed greatly by them.

 Nina is survived by: one son, Billy Wilson of Belle: one daughter, Tina Jantti and her husband Melvin of Union; four grandchildren, Heather Maher, Brian Maher, Brandon Maher, and Donald Maher, III; and two great-grandchildren Joseph Sanderson and Brieanna Vouga as well as many extended family members and friends.

 Nina is preceded in death by her parents and two husbands.     

 Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Belle City Cemetery.
