Randell Horstman of Bland, Missouri died Monday, November 19, 2012, at the age of 77. Randell was born on October 19, 1935 on the Osage County Century Farm. He was the son of Albert Christian Horstman and Freda Ivanelle Overstreet Horstman.
Randell was married on November 30, 1957 to Rose Mary Phelps. Randell worked for many years operating heavy equipment and he retired from the Local Operator's Union at the age of 55 and farmed all of his life. He was a life-long active member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he served as a church Deacon.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Mary Horstman along with three sons, Dale Horstman with his wife Debbie, Jeff Horstman with his wife Kelly both of Bland and Steve Horstman with his wife Rita of Belle. Five sisters, Inez Ahrens of Bourbon, Joyce McKinney with husband Conrad of Belle, Georgia Mitchell with husband Robert of Sullivan, Minnie Jarvis of Bland, Marilyn Mounce with husband Tom of Steelville and two brothers Albert (Junior) Horstman with his wife Marie of Bland, and Fred Horstman with his wife Juanita of Foley.
Randell had five grandchildren: LeeAnn, Shanna, Randis, Denni and Rance and two great-grandchildren; Jamee and Jaxton.
Randell is preceded in death by his mother and father and two sisters, Alberta Horstman and Hilda Maness.
Visitation for Randell will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 4 p.m. Sassmann's Chapel in Belle. Services for Randell will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 AT 11 A.M. from the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery
