Raymond Alvin Lancey, Sr., age 76, of Belle, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the SSM St. Mary’s hospital in Jefferson City.
Raymond was born October 17, 1947, in Keene, NH, a son to the late Charles Ernest and Francis Louis (St. John) Lancey.
Raymond proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army.
In July of 1969, he was united in marriage to Mary Secore at the St. James Episcopal Church in Keene, NH. Raymond is survived by his wife, Mary.
Raymond worked as a truck driver and did construction for over 40 years in New Hampshire before retiring and moving to Missouri.
Raymond had a small farm in New Hampshire where he raised cattle and pigs. It was something he enjoyed very much. His other hobbies included fishing and being outdoors, going to flea markets and animal auctions, and watching NASCAR. Denny Hamlin was his favorite driver. Raymond liked watching the History channel on TV and westerns with John Wayne in them. He enjoyed life to the fullest, never knew a stranger, and his greatest joy came from time spent with his family. He will be missed greatly by those that knew and loved him.
In addition to his wife, Raymond is survived by: three children, Lori Chambers and her husband John of Belle, Raymond Lancey, Jr and his wife Michelle of Big Cabin, OK, and Scott Lancey and his wife Megan of Walpole, NH; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marie Ouellette of Sullivan, NH as well as many extended family members and friends.
Raymond was preceded in death by six siblings, Charles, Jr., Clarence, Warren, Douglas, Robert, Arthur, and Elaine.
In keeping with Raymonds wishes, he was cremated and no services are planned.
