Robert 'Bob" E. Wright

Robert E. “Bob” Wright, age 71, of Owensville, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Washington. 

 Bob was born April 21, 1945, in Madison, IL, a son to the late Robert and Betty (Bock) Wright. 

Bob was an independent truck driver for over 20 years before retiring. 

Bob enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and WWE wrestling on TV. He had a great laugh, a fun sense of humor, and enjoyed sitting at the liars table at the Colorado Café and visiting with friends. Above all, Bob loved spending time with his grandson’s and family. 

Bob is survived by: two daughters, Crystal Opfer of Joplin and Tammy Jenkins of Warrensburg; five grandchildren, Caleb, Chase, Sean, Landon, and Alex; one brother, Floyd Wright of High Hill, Mo; and one special buddy, Greyson as well as many extended family members and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Kristen Birmingham, one son Eric Birmingham and several siblings. 

Memorial services will take place at a later date and will be announced by Sassmann’s Chapel.
