Robert "Bobby" Baxter, Jr.

Robert “Bobby” Baxter, Jr., 62, of Vienna, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia.

Bobby was born on August 14, 1955, in Washington, the son to the late Robert Lee Baxter, Sr. and Frances (Smith) Elrod. 

He was a member of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and lovin every day.  He participated in track and bowling with the Special Olympics.  He enjoyed cheering for Mizzou and the St. Louis Cardinals.   

Bobby is survived by:  two sisters, Robin Baxter-Teel and her husband Tom of Fulton and Barb Stradford and her husband Don of Bland; one brother, Jim Elrod of Paydown; two nieces, Erin Rae Schroeder and Holly Kleinheider; two nephews; Derek Paul Fann and Ben Stradford; three great nieces, Hayden Marie Fann, Joelie Stradford and Kenzi Cetroute; two great nephews, Logan Fann and Easton Paul Schroeder, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his step father, Russ Elrod along with several aunts and uncles. 

Visitation for Bobby will be held on Monday, January 1, 2018, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle.  Interment will follow in the Campbell Cemetery near Belle.
