Ronald Dean Jones

Ronald Dean Jones of Owensville died early Friday morning, February 22, 2013, in the Frene Valley Nursing Home. He was 77. Ron was born on August 20, 1935, near Belle. He is the son of the late Eugene Garland and Etta Shockley Jones. On May 15, 1955, Ron was joined in marriage to Zella Ficke and to this union four children were born.
Surviving Ron is his wife Zella, two sons Ron Jones of Bland and Randy Jones with his wife Darlene of Vienna, two daughters Debra Mehrhoff with her husband Norman of Bland and Barbara Litton of Stewart, Florida. There are eleven grand children, twenty two great grand children and one great great grand son. Also surviving Ron is his twin brother Donald, brothers Gary Jones, Jessie Jones, Roy Jones, Roger Jones, Danny Jones, and Jimmy Jones and sisters Linda Fuhrman, Dixie Krettie, and Sylvia Dudley, and his extended family of brothers and sisters Judy Bray, Danny Rowe, Martha Reeves, Larry Rowe, and Florence Wells.
Ron is preceded in death by his brother Charlie Jones and infant sister Carmaletta and his extended family of brothers and sisters David Rowe, Mary Ann Thompson, and Mac Ridenhour.
Ron had worked in the local shoe factories, in the clay mines and the Owensville Allied Chemical Plant, Kingsford and Linn Tech.
Services for Ron were held on Monday, February 25, 2013 from Crossroads Baptist Church. Interment was in Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville.
