Russell James Groff

Russell James Groff of Bland died January 29, 2012 at his residence. He was 53. Russell was born December 23, 1958 in Rolla. He is the son of the late Russell Glen Groff and Willa Dean Happel.
Russell is survived by his mother, Willa Dean Happel of Bland, three children, Russell Groff Jr. of North Carolina, Ashley Spurgeon of Russellville, Kelley Brocato of Owensville, one step son, Mickey Ranson and his wife Sonja, one brother, Ronnie Groff of Bland, and one sister, Tammi Schmidt and her husband Keith of Leasburg, two nieces, Desiree and fiancAC. Zack, and Re'Ana, two nephews, Jeremy and Dalton, four grandchildren, and three special grandchildren.
Russell is preceded in death by his father, Russell Glenn Groff.
Russell was a bricklayer by trade and worked in construction. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 9 a.m. with services following at 10 a.m. from Sassmann Chapel in Bland. Interment will be at Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville.
