Stacy D. "Snooze" Guinn

Stacy D.  “Snooze” Guinn, age 60, of Belle, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023, at his home surrounded by family.  

Stacy was born February 9, 1963, in Rolla, a son to the late Ervin “Leroy” and Vernetta “June” (Townsend) Guinn.

Stacy was a lifelong area resident and a 1981 graduate of Belle High School. He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Belle.

On February 13, 2001 he was united in marriage to Angie Fell at the courthouse in Farmington. Angie survives of their home.

Stacy had been an over the road truck driver for MDZ Trucking out of Shipshewana, Indiana for over 20 years. He also ran “hot shots,” delivering RV’s to dealers across the country which allowed for he and Angie to spend some quality time together as she would ride along on occasions.

Stacy loved playing the guitar and was in a band when he was younger named Night Riders along with Rick Harris, Tom Kempker, and Avery Cox. He was fantastic at grilling and smoking meats. He owned and operated Tailgate BBQ in Linn for a time. Stacy enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and mowing his lawn. He was a jokester and a bit ornery but was also the type of man who would come to a complete stop to pick wild flowers from the side of the  road for his family. Stacy loved spending time with his family and friends and will be missed greatly.        

In addition to his wife, Stacy is survived by: one son, Darin Guinn and his wife Jessica of Belle; one step-daughter Ashley Newman and her husband Steve of Nixa; four grandchildren, Keleigh Guinn, Cooper Guinn, Kaydenze Guinn, and Gaige Guinn; two brothers, Levan Guinn and his wife Laura of Belle and Lacy Guinn and his wife Presal of Jefferson City; and one sister, Velda Neidert and her husband Keith of Belle as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family member’s and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Oryon Guinn, his parents, and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Visitation for Stacy will be on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the Faith Baptist Church beginning at 10:00 a.m. with Tim Redmond officiating. Interment will be in the Liberty Cemetery.
