Steven Dale Williams

Steven Dale Williams, known to his loved ones as Steve, passed away on January 14, 2024, at the age of 65 in Belle, Missouri. Born on February 22, 1958, in Marshall, Missouri, to Linnie "Eddie" Williams and Edna (Yates) Smith.  Steve was a loving father, brother, Papa, and friend. He had a unique way of expressing his feelings without many words.

Steve spent the majority of his career in the construction field in Marshall.  He was also an over the road truck driver, business owner, maintenance worker for Con-Agra, and even helped maintain the city parks of Marshall. Later, when he relocated to Rogers, Arkansas, he worked at Pro-Line Cabinets until his retirement. Steve was a skilled craftsman and took pride in his work. Among his many accomplishments, he cherished the cabinets he built for his daughter Stephanie's home.

In his free time, Steve enjoyed the outdoors, particularly when it wasn't cold. He was an avid fisherman and cherished moments spent near the water. Steve also loved spending time with his family and friends, engaging in lively discussions and debates. He had a passion for tinkering with old cars, especially his beloved 1970 Roadrunner. Attending races and gardening were also some of his favorite pastimes. Steve was a proud core member of the Sleep in Heavenly Peace-Rolla Chapter where he helped build over 300 beds for children in need.

Steve is survived by his children, Stephanie (Williams) Dautenhahn and husband, Arti of Rolla and Jason Williams and partner, Angie Deibel of Marshall. He was a proud Papa to his grandchildren, Kyler (Dautenhahn) Brady and husband Gideon of Rolla and Braxton Dautenhahn of Rolla. Steve is also survived by his siblings, Lynn Gross and husband, Bill of Clarksburg and Gaylene Cantwell and partner Kevin Thompson of Raytown. Additionally, he is survived by his ex-wives, Barbie (Begotner) Vogl of Marshall and Karen Williams of Rogers, AR.  He is also survived by lifelong friend, Todd Anderson, special neighbor Jon Crull and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Linnie "Eddie" Williams and Edna (Yates) Smith, stepfather Homer Smith, as well as his grandparents, Preston and Ethel (Cowen) Yates of Marshall.
