Teresa D. Crull

Teresa D. Crull, age 60, of Bland passed away suddenly Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at her residence.

Teresa was born December 17, 1960, in Houston, Mo, a daughter to the late Fred Lewis and Barbara (Hicks) Chandler.

She was a 1979 graduate of Belle High School and a longtime member of the Bland Christian Church.

On October 4, 1980, she was united in marriage to Joseph Crull at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Joe survives of their home near Bland.

Teresa had been employed at the Bland middle school for 23 years. Teresa loved working with the children. They were her second love next to her own children and grandchildren. Teresa was passionate about the children’s learning and was an amazing advocate for the students, always smiling and offering encouragement. Her coworkers and students will miss her very much.

Her hobbies included, writing poetry, camping, and playing cards and puzzles with her children and grandchildren. She was a kind and giving person and her faith in God was strong. She was called “Boomaw” by her grandchildren and her greatest joy in life came from time spent with them. They were the light of her life. She will be missed greatly by her family, her community and her church family.

In addition to her husband of 41 years, Teresa is survived by: two daughters, Christina Welch and her husband Joe of O’Fallon, Mo and Chelsea DeWitt and her husband Coty of Orlando, Fl; four grandchildren, Kaden, Kinley, Kyson, and Coty Jolene, and baby DeWitt due in May of 2022; her parents, Alvin and Barbara Chandler; and a sister, Jennifer Jarvis and her husband Terry of Bland as well as many extended family members and friends.

Teresa was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, and one grandson, Benjamin Garrison, one sister-in-law, Karen Crull, and her mother and father in law, Howard and Lorraine Crull.

A visitation for Teresa will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at the Bland Christian Church Gym from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. A Celebration of Teresa’s life will begin at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Teresa requests that expressions of sympathy be made to C.I.Y. (Christ in Youth) through the Bland Christian Church.
