Timothy "Timbo" J. Marquart

Tim Marquart, 64 of Belle, a caring brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him, was unexpectedly taken from this life and met his son, Robbie Marquart, with open arms on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

Tim was born on May 29, 1960, in Washington, Missouri, to Leander and Shirley (Schmitt) Marquart and later became the middle child to a tribe of nine children. As a child, he attended St. Gertrude School in Krakow where he was confirmed in 1972 and graduated from Washington High School in 1979. After graduation, Tim moved to Belle where his parents and younger siblings would reside. On July 31, 1982, Tim and Tonia (Shockley) Spurgeon welcomed a son, who was taken too soon from us, on March 15, 2014. Tim was currently employed at Hitachi in Jefferson City and had previously worked numerous places including: Spicecraft in Gerald, Integram Seating in Pacific, and Tail Spin Bar and Grill in Belle, where he was known for his ribeye steak sandwiches.

Tim didn’t know a stranger and shared a smile with everyone. He had a love for the St. Louis Cardinals, enjoyed watching sporting events with friends at local establishments, and was happiest when he was in his boat on the Gasconade River. He also enjoyed entertaining, taking road trips with his brothers, and was usually the last to his stand for hunting season. Tim was one heck of a softball player and loved a good ice cream sandwich.

He is survived by one grandson, Clayton Koch of Jefferson City; siblings Wanda Marquart of Moscow Mills, Tony (Melissa) Marquart of Bland, Terry (Valerie) Marquart of New Haven, Jim (Diane) Marquart of Krakow, Craig Marquart of Belle, Lee (Kelly) Marquart of Bland, Danny (Stephanie) Marquart of Owensville, and Lisa (Corey) Patterson of Gerald; as well as MANY nieces and nephew and great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his son, Tim was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Cherri Marquart, and niece Cathy Ann (Marquart) Berliner.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 14th from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Belle-Bland Community Center in Belle with the rosary service at 3pm for the family. A private burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that expressions of sympathy be made to the YaYa’s or the Cherri Marquart Memorial Scholarship fund.
