Victoria S. Akins, age 52, of Belle passed Friday, May 15, 2020 at her residence.
Victoria was born on August 4, 1967, in Columbia, a daughter to the late Raymond and Minnie (Finn) Valley.
Victoria was a lifelong area resident and worked in the home health industry taking care of disabled patients for a time until her health declined. She enjoyed helping people, so it was a job she loved.
Victoria enjoyed drawing and painting, going to the river, camping, and being outdoors. She was an avid KISS fan and enjoyed watching Son’s of Anarchy and WWE wrestling on T.V. Victoria loved baking and her Coke-A-Cola but her greatest joy came from time spent with her family and especially her grandkids. She was a strong and independent lady who loved to have fun and just enjoy life. She will be missed by her family and those that knew and loved her.
Victoria is survived by: one son, Benjamin Akins and his wife Sarah of Rolla; three grandchildren, Allyssa, Alaric and MacEnzy; eight siblings, Theresa Daniels of Rolla, Ellen Brookshire of Newburg, Cora Gregory of Belle, Cynthia Nash of Rolla, Barbara Perry of St. Louis, Larry Valley of St. Genevieve, Joseph “Ray Boy” Valley of Belle, and David Valley of Rolla as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Victoria was preceded in death by three siblings, Clifford Valley, Alice Durbin, and Roy Valley and two brother-in-laws, Dwayne Durbin, and Russel Perry.
