Vincent Dean Woolley, Sr.

Vincent Dean Woolley, Sr., age 71, of Belle, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023, at his home surrounded by family.  

Vincent was born December 24, 1951, in Belle at Dr. Schnalles office, a son to the late Lloyd and Mildred (Gieck) Woolley.

Vincent was a lifelong area resident and a 1970 graduate of Belle High School. Following high school, Vincent proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

On November 16, 1974 he was united in marriage to Theresa Mitchell. Theresa survives of their home near Belle.

Vincent retired from the Union-Pacific Railroad after 38 years of employment.

Vincent enjoyed watching Nascar, W.W.E., the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Kansas City Chiefs as well as westerns. He loved being outdoors, camping, fishing the Gasconade or lakes, mushroom hunting, or working in his garden. Vincent liked to play the lotto and although he never won big, he was persistent. He was a man of few words and maybe a bit stubborn but had a huge heart and a great sense of humor. Above all, Vincent was a family man and dedicated his life to them. He loved spending time with them and especially his grandson, Preston , who he read to every day. Vincent will be missed greatly by his family and those that knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife of 48 years, Vincent is survived by: one daughter, Jennifer Crutsinger; one son, Vincent Woolley, Jr.; four grandchildren, Megan Brewer and her husband Thomas, Nicholas Crutsinger, Alexandra Woolley, and Preston Woolley; one great-granddaughter, Mabel Brewer; and one sister, Sandy Dingley and her husband Jim as well as many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

A memorial service for Vincent will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Church of Jesus Christ Belle Restoration Branch beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Kevin Runge officiating.
