Wasdin Leroy White

Wasdin Leroy White of Belle died early Monday morning, July11, 2011, at his home. He was 86. Leroy was born on July 1, 1925, in Odd, Missouri. She is the son of the late Wasdin Wally White and Ruby Pearl Vincent White. On October 21, 1966, Leroy was married to Faye Delores Gehlert. Their marriage was blessed with two sons.
Leroy moved with his parents to Texas at the age of one. The family returned to Missouri and for a short time lived in the Newburg area. Leroy lived his entire adult life the in Belle community. He was businessman and entrepreneur, a loyal community member, and a family man. During his lifetime Leroy developed sixteen new businesses in Belle, remodeled dozens of old houses and provided new housing for a host of families in Belle. He was a member of the Belle Masonic Lodge 373 AF & AM. Leroy was baptized in the Belle Church of Christ.
Surviving Leroy is a son Daryl with his wife Peggy, a daughter in law Darlene, six grand children Becky and Daryl White, Dana Honse, Cody White, Jason White, and Erin Strunk, and fourteen great grand children Emma and Elayna, Prezley, Wyatt, and D.J., and Hunter, Logan, Mallary, Gracie, Alyssa, Alexis, Brittany, Jason, and Zane. Also surviving Leroy is a brother Wesley White and a sister Fern Huggins both of Richmond, Missouri.
Leroy is preceded in death by his wife Faye, a son LeRay, and two brothers Manford and Dale.
Services for Leroy will be held Friday morning at 10:00 AM from the First Baptist Church in Belle. Interment will be in the Countryside Memorial Gardens.
A visitation for Leroy will begin Thursday evening at 4:00 in the Sassmann's Chapel in Belle.
