William "Bill" Frank Butler

William "Bill" Frank Butler, of Belle died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at the Boone hospital in Columbia. He was 74. Bill was born on February 19, 1938, in Belle to the late Victor and Delcie (Sieg) Butler. On March 2, 1963, Bill was married to Verna Shanks in Jefferson City and to this union two children were born.
Surviving Bill is his wife Verna of the home, children Dewayne Butler and wife Keva of Belle, La Dana Calame of Kansas City, Kansas, and Terry Calame of Jefferson City, grandchildren Bryan Butler, Amanda Butler, and Kiefer Calame of Jefferson City, Emily and Brett Butler of Belle, a great granddaughter, Caylee Butler of Jefferson City, sisters Mary Woemmel, Delphia Jones and husband Jim, Norma Harris and husband Jewel, Donna Buddemeyer, Lorna Stogsdill and husband Donnie, Linda Rogers and husband Dan, brothers Joey Butler and wife Carol, Jerry Butler, and sister in laws Katie Butler and Lynna Shanks.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Ruth Party and husband Bill, and Doris Altemeyer, two brothers Robert and Lonnie Butler, mother and father in law August and Elnora Shanks, and brother in laws Russell Woemmel and Armand Shanks.
Bill worked at McDonnell Douglas where he retired after 30 years. He was a lifelong member of the community and loved spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed.
Services for William "Bill" Butler will be held on Friday June 15, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Liberty Church of Christ Church in Belle. Interment will be at Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 14, 2012, at Sassmann Chapel in Belle from 4-8pm.
