Wylie Darrell Clement

Wylie Darell Clement of Bland, formerly of St. Louis, died Saturday morning, at his home at the age of 69. Wylie was born on August 16, 1939, in St. Louis. He is the son of the late Wylie and Hazel Gillespie Clement. On November 21, 1958, Wylie was married to Thelma Jean in the United Church of Christ in St. Louis.
Wylie has lived and worked for most of his life in St. Louis. He was a police officer for the cities
of St. Louis and Berkeley. He retired on disability from Dolan Steel Company in Granite City, Illinois. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Wylie and Thelma were members of the St. John's United Church of Christ.
Surviving Wylie are two sons Wylie, Jr. and Gregory and two daughters Connie Clement and Carrie Breece. Also surviving is a brother Keith Clement with his wife Sandi of St. Louis. There are nine grand children Jessica, Gregory, Jr., Amanda, Ashley, Amber, Katrina, Kyle, Jeanette, and Taylor, and six great grand children Adrian, Sam, Wyatt, Alayna, and Launa.
Wylie is preceded in death by his wife Jean who passed away this past February. Also preceding Wylie is a son in law Charlie Breece.
